Fifth concert BEIJING
Last day, last concert, 12 hours in Beijing
No time to see how it has developed since the last time I was there in 2006, I must make do with just the impressions I get from the taxi ride across the city
Concert at the Hungarian Embassy in celebration of 60 years of Chinese Hungarian diplomatic relations
Very warm reception from the Embassy people
Somehow, it gave me a good, secure feeling to see the Hungarian flag rising in this immense city, to speak my mother tongue again, to feel a little bit “at home” after my adventures
The same day as my concert, a dress rehearsal for the upcoming big day of 1st October, the 60th anniversary of the New China. Half of the city is closed, no subway. They think nobody will come to the concert under these circumstances. In spite of this, by some miracle, the audience is bigger than usual.
No more young lady in a wedding dress…
A very attentive audience, one of those good silences…
Lots of flowers, nice people around, a small reception, and a Peking duck afterwards was a perfect ending to the tour
